80 Miles of Neighborhoods Destroyed
Long Beach, Mississippi. This photo shows a whole neighborhood where the wreckage from houses destroyed by Katrina had been removed. What was left were tons of smaller bits and pieces of homes and lives that the heavy equipment didn't remove. Trash was everywhere. Many homeowners did not come back and did not rebuild. You can multiply this image by nearly 80 miles of shoreline in Biloxi, D'Iberville, Ocean Springs, Gautier, Pascagoula, Gulfport, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Bay St.Louis, Waveland and Pearlington, Mississippi
