Hurricane Katrina Destroyed Tens of Thousands of Homes Along The Mississippi Gulf Coast
This house on the corner of Lee Street and Highway 90 in Biloxi had been completely blown away. The eerie sight of steps without a joining home could be seen everywhere. Between 65,000-70,000 homes along the Mississippi Gulf Coast were destroyed during Hurricane Katrina's landfall (destroyed outright). It has been claimed that some 380,000+ homes were left uninhabitable
